The Rome ePrix ended with Sam Bird taking his second win of the 2017-2018 Formula E season for DS Virgin Racing. How do the team power rankings look now?

Sam Bird’s victory in the 2018 CBMM Niobium Rome ePrix at the 21-turn, 2.86-kilometer (1.77-mile) Circuito cittadino dell’EUR in Rome, Italy delivered DS Virgin Racing their second victory of the 2017-2018 Formula E season.

As referenced above, Bird’s victory was his second of the season, and it made him the third driver who has won more than one race so far this season along with Jean-Eric Vergne and Felix Rosenqvist. It also made DS Virgin Racing the third team that have won more than one race so far this season along with Techeetah and Mahindra Racing.

How did Bird’s second victory of the season for DS Virgin Racing affect the Formula E Team Power Rankings? How are these rankings shaping up with just five races left in the season?

More from Formula E

Because of the fact that MS&AD Andretti have confirmed Tom Blomqvist as their second full-time driver alongside Antonio Felix da Costa and the fact Blomqvist has now driven in the last five races for the team despite the fact that he did not drive for the team in the first two races of season, as Kamui Kobayashi did so, both da Costa and now Blomqvist are included in the calculation for MS&AD Andretti’s position in these rankings.

Also, because of the fact that Dragon Racing have confirmed Jose Maria Lopez as their second full-time driver alongside Jerome d’Ambrosio and the fact Lopez has now driven in the last five races for the team despite the fact that he did not drive for the team in the first two races of season, as Neel Jani did so, both d’Ambrosio and now Lopez are included in the calculation for Dragon Racing’s position in these rankings.

Here are the formulated Formula E Team Power Rankings and the non-formulated Formula E Team Power Rankings after the 2018 CBMM Niobium Rome ePrix. Both sets of rankings include 10 teams of two-full time drivers as opposed to eight teams of two full-time drivers and two teams of one full-time driver as a result of the official addition of both Blomqvist and Lopez.
