With nine of the 36 races on the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series schedule in the books, let’s have a look at where the sport’s teams stack up against one another.

Nine of the 36 races on the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series schedule have now been completed, meaning the 2018 season is officially one-quarter of the way over. What that also means is that there are still three-quarters of it left to go before the champion is crowned.

For the third consecutive race, Kyle Busch drove his #18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota to victory lane, and he did so in the Toyota Owners 400 at the four-turn, 0.75-mile D-shaped Richmond Raceway oval in Richmond, Virginia.

Busch’s third consecutive win was his third win of the season, and it was also Joe Gibbs Racing’s third consecutive win and their third win of the season. As a result of these facts, the fact that just five different drivers and four different teams have won at least one race so far this season still holds true for the third consecutive race.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s third victory of the 2018 season brings them to within one win of Stewart-Haas Racing, the team that won four of the first six races of the season and still sit atop the 2018 season’s team wins list.

Aside of these two teams, Richard Childress Racing and Furniture Row Racing both have one win apiece.
