#12 and #11

CARLIN MOTORSPORT. #12. . Carlin Motorsport. Chevrolet

So far in the 2018 IndyCar season, which is Carlin Motorsport’s first season as an IndyCar team, both part-time and full-time, they have been the full-time team with the worst results across the board and the smallest amount of speed. While the team are highly successful in other forms of motorsports across the world, it is hard to see them suddenly becoming a lot more competitive in this year’s Indy 500. In fact, many people believe that one or both of their drivers will be bumped from the field. They enter this year’s Indy 500 with Max Chilton and Charlie Kimball, of whom both are full-time drivers.

#11. . Meyer Shank Racing. Honda. MEYER SHANK RACING

Meyer Shank Racing have an alliance with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, so they will have access to more resources and information than some of the other smaller teams. That said, they did not show much speed in their Indy 500 debut last year when they partnered with Andretti Autosport as Michael Shank Racing, and they have not shown that they can compete with some of the bigger teams to start this season, not even Schmidt Peterson Motorsports. They will probably be left searching for speed in this year’s Indy 500 as well. They enter this year’s Indy 500 with Jack Harvey, who is not a full-time driver.
