#10 and #9

#10. . Harding Racing. Chevrolet. HARDING RACING

Harding Racing have not had a great start to their first season as a full-time IndyCar team, but their track history in superspeedway races is more than exceptional. They made their IndyCar debut last year with Gabby Chaves, who is one of the cleanest drivers in the sport, in the Indy 500. He finished in 9th place in the race before finishing in 5th at Texas Motor Speedway and 15th at Pocono Raceway after staying out of trouble in each of those three races. They should definitely have gotten stronger from last year to this year, so they could be fun to watch. They enter this year’s Indy 500 with Chaves, who is the team’s full-time driver.

#9. . Dreyer and Reinbold Racing. Chevrolet. DREYER AND REINBOLD RACING

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing have entered the Indy 500 with just one driver in each of the Indy 500 races from the 2012 season to the 2017 season. However, they doubled that this year, as they are set to enter two drivers in the Indy 500, which is something that they have not done since they entered four drivers in the 2011 Indy 500. Given the fact that they have shown signs of being competitive pretty consistently at the race in recent years, there is no reason to sleep on them this year, especially given the fact that they have two drivers who have shown great speed in the race in recent years as well. They enter this year’s Indy 500 with J.R. Hildebrand and Sage Karam, of whom neither are full-time drivers.
