NASCAR Xfinity Series: Alsco 300 results – Brad Keselowski wins
By Asher Fair
In the Alsco 300, Brad Keselowski claimed his second victory in his two races so far in the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.
Team Penske’s Brad Keselowski made his second appearance of the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season in the #22 Ford during Saturday’s Alsco 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.
Keselowski, who drives the #2 Team Penske Ford full-time in the Cup Series, came away from the race, the 10th of 33 races on the 2018 Xfinity Series schedule, with his second victory in those two Xfinity Series races so far this season after leading 77 of the race’s 204 laps around the four-turn, 1.5-mile quad oval.
Keselowski, who also won the Xfinity Series race at ISM Raceway, the fourth race of the season back in March, started the race from the pole position and held off second place finisher Cole Custer of Stewart-Haas Racing by 0.421 seconds. However, Keselowski’s laps led total of 77 was not the highest among all drivers in the field.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch, another full-time Cup Series driver, won both stage one and stage two of the race and led 93 laps, but he ended up spinning out on a restart and going through the grass in stage three. He rebounded to finish in eighth place.
The race featured a total of 12 lead changes among six drivers. Aside of Keselowski and Busch, four other drivers led at least one lap of the race. Those four drivers were Cole Custer, Daniel Hemric, Garrett Smithley and J.J. Yeley.
The race also featured a total of 13 caution flag periods for 59 laps. Of those caution flag periods, 11 took place as a result of on-track incidents as opposed to the ending of stage one and stage two. Of the 40 drivers who started the race, 30 finished it, and of the 30 who finished it, 21 did so on the lead lap.
