Former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick made an appearance in the music video for Maroon 5’s new single, “Girls Like You”.

Danica Patrick, the 36-year-old race car driver who just retired from professional racing following her crash in the 2018 Indianapolis 500, the second leg of what was dubbed the “Danica Double”, made an appearance in a new Maroon 5 music video.

Patrick, who has appeared in other music videos before, was one of several athletes, including Olympians Aly Raisman, Chloe Kim and Alex Morgan, along with several other prominent women, including Jennifer Lopez and Ellen DeGeneres, who appeared in the music video for Maroon 5’s new single, “Girls Like You”.

Here is that new music video. Patrick appears in it at the 3:48 mark.

Patrick, who just officially retired this past weekend following her eighth career attempt in the Indy 500, which ended on lap 68 for her after she crashed in the turn two wall of the four-turn, 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana, spent 13 full seasons as a professional race car driver from the 2005 season to the 2017 season.

From the 2005 season to the 2011 season, Patrick drove full-time in IndyCar, and she won one race in Japan in the 2008 season. She drove for Rahal Letterman Racing in the 2005 season and the 2006 season, and she drove for Andretti Green Racing/Andretti Autosport from the 2007 season until she left the sport for NASCAR following the conclusion of the 2011 season.

In the 2012 season, Patrick drove full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for JR Motorsports before she landed a full-time ride with Stewart-Haas Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series.

In her first race as a full-time Cup Series driver for Stewart-Haas Racing, which was the 2013 Daytona 500, Patrick took the pole position. However, that was the highest point of her Cup Series career, as she never started on the pole position again and she never finished any one of her 191 Cup Series races in the top five.

Patrick announced this past September that she would be leaving Stewart-Haas Racing after the 2017 season ended, and she announced in November that she would not be returning to the Cup Series full-time in the 2018 season.

Danica Patrick announced that she would retire from professional racing after competing in what was dubbed the “Danica Double”, which involved her driving in the 2018 Daytona 500, her final NASCAR race, and the 2018 Indy 500, her first IndyCar race since 2011 and also her final IndyCar race and final race as a professional race car driver. She crashed out of both races.
