NASCAR Cup Series: 2018 Pocono 400 entry list
By Asher Fair
The 14th race of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season is the Pocono 400 at Pocono Raceway. Here is the full entry list for that race.
The next race on the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series scheduled is set to take place at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. That race is the Pocono 400, and it is scheduled to last for 160 laps around the three-turn, 2.5-mile triangle oval.
Ryan Blaney won last season’s June race at Pocono Raceway for his first career victory in the Cup Series when he still drove for Wood Brothers Racing. He now drives for Team Penske, but he has been unable to win another race since claiming his first career Cup Series win last year.
Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch won last season’s July race at Pocono Raceway for his first win of the 2017 Cup Series season. By winning that race, Busch broke a win drought of over one full year. He has gone on to win eight more Cup Series races since then, including four this season.

A total of 38 drivers are entered into this year’s Pocono 400. A field size of 38 drivers would be tied for the fifth highest through 14 races so far this season.
Three of the first 13 races so far this season have featured 40 drivers. Those three races were the two 500-mile restrictor plate races at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway as well as this past Sunday’s 600-mile race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. One race, the race at Bristol Motor Speedway, featured 39 drivers.
Seven different drivers have won the last seven races at Pocono Raceway. Of the 38 drivers who are entered into this weekend’s race at the track, six of them have accounted for one of those victories. Will one of the other 32 drivers pull off the win this weekend so that eight different drivers will have won the last eight races at the track?
