The 15th race of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season is the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Here is the entry list for that race.

The FireKeepers Casino 400, which is the 15th race of the 26-race 2018 NASCAR Cup Series regular season and 36-race 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season, is set to take place at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan this Sunday, June 10.

A total of 39 drivers are entered into this year’s FireKeepers Casino 400. Not including the two races at Michigan International Speedway last season, which featured 37 drivers and 39 drivers, respectively, this total of 39 drivers is the lowest for a race at the track since 37 drivers entered the race at the track in June of 1985.

That said, the June Michigan race last season was the race that featured only 37 drivers, so this year’s total of 39 drivers on the entry list is a slight (5.41%) improvement.

In fact, this total of 39 drivers is tied for the highest total on an entry list for a race at the track since the August Michigan race in 2016 when 40 drivers entered the race. It is tied with last season’s August Michigan race.

Also, this total of 39 drivers is tied for the fourth highest driver total in any race so far this season. Of the 14 Cup Series races that have been contested so far in 2018, three featured 40 drivers and one featured 39 drivers.

The three races that featured 40 drivers were the two restrictor place races, which were the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway to open up the season in February and the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway in April, and the longest race of the season, which was the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May. The race that featured 39 drivers was the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway in April.
