How did the action from the Toyota/Save Mart 350, the 16th race of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season, affect how the 16 full-time Cup Series teams rank against one another?

The Toyota/Save Mart 350 was the 16th race of the 36-race 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season, and it was the first of three road course races on the 2018 schedule, as it was held at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, California last Sunday.

Furniture Row Racing’s Martin Truex Jr., the defending Cup Series champion and lone driver for Furniture Row Racing, entered the race having earned two victories for the team so far this season in his #78 Toyota.

Following the 110-lap race around the 10-turn, 1.990-mile (3.203-kilometer) Sonoma Raceway road course, Truex Jr. had earned Furniture Row Racing their third victory of the 2018 season, which ranks third among all teams in the sport.

The team’s third victory of the season was also their second victory in the last three races, as Truex Jr. also won the race at Pocono Raceway on the first Sunday in June.

Only Stewart-Haas Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing have won more races than Furniture Row Racing have so far this season. Stewart-Haas Racing, a four-driver team, have won seven races with two of their drivers. Those two drivers are Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer, who have won five races and two races, respectively. Joe Gibbs Racing, another four-driver team, have won four races with one of their drivers. That one driver is Kyle Busch.
