Lewis Hamilton is set to start from the pole position for the 10th race of the 2018 Formula 1 season, the British Grand Prix.
For the fourth time in the 2018 Formula 1 season and a record 76th time in his Formula 1 career, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport’s Lewis Hamilton is set to start from the pole position, as he qualified on the pole for the 10th race of the 21-race 2018 season, the British Grand Prix.
Hamilton took the pole position for the British Grand Prix by recorded a top lap time of 85.892 seconds (153.444 miles per hour) around the 18-turn, 3.661-mile (5.891-kilometer) Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone (part Northamptonshire and part Buckinghamshire), England, United Kingdom.
Hamilton’s pole for the British Grand Prix is his fourth consecutive pole and sixth career pole for the British Grand Prix, as he also took the pole position for the race in the 2007, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons.

Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel qualified on the outside of the front row in second place with a top lap time of 85.936 seconds, which was just 0.044 seconds slower than the top lap time of Hamilton.
The front row of the starting grid is set to feature a Mercedes driver ahead of a Ferrari driver, and the second row of the starting grid is set to feature a Ferrari driver ahead of a Mercedes driver, as Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen qualified in third place and Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas qualified in fourth. Raikkonen’s top lap time was 85.990 seconds, which was within one-tenth of a second, 0.098 seconds to be exact, of Hamilton’s.
Aston Martin Red Bull Racing teammates Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo are set to start the race in fifth and sixth place, respectively. Haas teammates Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean are set to start the race in seventh and eighth, respectively.
Sahara Force India’s Esteban Ocon and Alfa Romeo Sauber’s Charles Leclerc are set to round out the top 10 of the starting grid in ninth and 10th place, respectively, after they both had impressive qualifying runs.
