Silverstone Circuit has been a staple of the Formula 1 calendar since 1948 when Luigi Villoresi won the race in his Maserati 4CLT/48.
The previous British Grand Prix saw Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport’s Lewis Hamilton take the checkered flag, making it four wins in a row for the Brit in his home Grand Prix.
