Williams Racing, Mercedes

No. 35. Williams Racing, Mercedes. SERGEY SIROTKIN. #35.

Williams Racing are currently known as Williams Martini Racing, but they are losing Martini as a sponsor following the conclusion of the 2018 Formula 1 season. As a result, they will be looking for money from drivers even more so than they already are.

While Sergey Sirotkin’s career-high Formula 1 finish is only a 13th place result in this year’s Austrian Grand Prix, he is backed by SMP Racing and provides a nice chunk of cash to the Grove-based organization. While he is the only driver who has not yet scored a point this season, expect him back with the team next year.

#40. . No. 40. Williams Racing, Mercedes. ROBERT KUBICA

Robert Kubica was widely rumored as a possible driver for Williams Martini Racing this season before they hired Sergey Sirotkin to be a teammate to Lance Stroll. Kubica, who has not driven full-time in Formula 1 since the 2010 season, currently test drives for Williams.

The 33-year-old Pole has driven in a few practice sessions for Williams this season. With how badly the team have struggled this season, it may play to their benefit to hire a veteran such as Kubica to try to help them improve next year and beyond.
