How do the 15 NASCAR Cup Series teams with at least one full-time driver stack up against one another with 21 of the 36 races on the 2018 schedule having been completed?

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch earned his sixth victory of the 36-race 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season in his #18 Toyota in the season’s 21st race, the Gander Outdoors 400, at Pocono Raceway.

In doing so, Busch delivered Joe Gibbs Racing their seventh victory of the 2018 season, as Erik Jones has also earned a victory for the team this season. He won the race at Daytona International Speedway last month in his #20 Toyota.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s seventh victory of the season brings them to within one win of Stewart-Haas Racing, the team that lead the Cup Series with eight victories so far in 2018. Their seventh victory of the year is also Toyota’s 11th victory of the year, moving them two wins ahead of Ford for the lead in the wins category among manufacturers.

Busch’s victory in the 164-lap race, which was scheduled to be a 160-lap race but went into overtime as a result of a late crash, around the three-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) Pocono Raceway triangle in Long Pond, Pennsylvania is the 19th victory of the season recorded by a Joe Gibbs Racing, Stewart-Haas Racing or Furniture Row Racing driver, meaning only two races have been won by drivers who do not drive for any of those three teams.

The only other two teams that have had a driver win a race this year are Team Penske and Richard Childress Racing. Joey Logano and Austin Dillon have each earned one victory for those teams, respectively. Richard Childress Racing are still the only Chevrolet team with a win this season. Toyota and Ford teams have now combined to win each of the last 20 races.
