The solution

Enough sounding off on how fans often damage the sport. How do we make it better? There are two paths current fans can take.

The first of which is to go home. If you don’t support the sport or adjust to the new product, it’s time to give the sport a rest. I always want fans to keep trying to find positives, but if you can’t, it’s time to walk away.

More from NASCAR Cup Series

Remember, there is a difference between critiquing the sport and displaying constant hatred of it. Though I go through times of negativity, I can also find bright spots during most weekends. This first option is only for fans who can’t see even a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

The second choice is to stand together as race fans. This is obviously the choice I would hope most fans will take. The best way to make change is to work together. We all know there are issues, but complaining without any sort of action won’t change a thing.

Us NASCAR fans have to keep pushing, give our realistic thoughts and hope for the best down the road. Even through tough times, the sport can’t grow when people just give up and walk away.

Simply put, ditching the sport doesn’t make it any better. We either stand together or the sport continues to fall.
