Formula 1 is currently on summer break, which gives us some time to reflect. How have the drivers done up to this point in the 2018 season?

While the 2018 Formula 1 season might have gotten off to a slow start with a few boring races, the tempo and season drama picked up quickly. Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport’s Lewis Hamilton currently leads the Formula 1 driver standings ahead of Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel. The two four-time Formula 1 champions have battled for the lead of the standings throughout whole season so far.

From the rest of the field, we have seen meteoric drives from young talents like Charles Leclerc and surprises from teams such as Haas and McLaren. Drivers are already trading places and creating drama with almost a whole half of the season still to come.

Let’s take a look at the driver grades at the summer break in the 2018 Formula 1 season.
