Following the 24th race of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season at Bristol Motor Speedway, Kyle Busch was involved in an altercation with a fan.

Kyle Busch’s Saturday night did not go according to plan at the track where he has earned 21 victories over the course of his NASCAR career.

The 2015 Cup Series champion entered the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway with seven career Cup Series victories, nine career Xfinity Series victories and five career Truck Series victories at the track.

Busch failed to earn his eighth career Cup Series victory and his 22nd career NASCAR victory at the Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night.

On the second lap of the 500-lap race around the four-turn, 0.533-mile (0.858-kilometer) Bristol Motor Speedway oval in Bristol, Tennessee, Busch, who started in third place, was involved in a 15-car accident on the front straightaway. He ended up going two laps down as a result of it.

But throughout the race, the 33-year-old Las Vegas, Nevada native bounced back to the point were he was running in the top three late in the final stage. However, contact with the #37 JTG Daugherty Racing Chevrolet of Chris Buescher caused one of the tires of Busch’s #18 Toyota to go down, which resulted in him spinning and hitting the wall in turn four shortly thereafter with only 19 laps remaining.

Busch ended up finishing in 20th place, three laps down.

But if this result wasn’t bad enough for Busch, throw in the fact that he was involved in a post-race altercation with a fan, which may or may not have taken place as a result of the fact that he spun out and wrecked fellow “big three” member Martin Truex Jr., who was running in second place in his #78 Furniture Row Racing with 69 laps remaining in the race.

This fan was heckling Busch, prompting Busch to leave his golf cart by the track’s exit tunnel to confront him. Busch proceeded to stay in the fan’s face while the fan tried to back away before the fan give him a hard shove. Busch approached the fan once again before the two men were separated. Busch then returned to his golf cart and left.
