The 25th race of the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, the Lilly Diabetes 250, at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, has been postponed until Monday.

Once again, rain has affected the schedule on a NASCAR race weekend. But this weekend, it has affected the schedule in a more dramatic fashion that it has in other weekends throughout the 2018 season so far.

The Lilly Diabetes 250 is the 25th race on the 33-race 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule, and it was scheduled to get underway at 3:00 p.m. ET earlier today. However, that race has been postponed until Monday, September 10 due to rain.

The race, which is the penultimate race of the 26-race regular season, is now scheduled to get underway at 10:00 a.m. ET on Monday.

The 100-lap Lilly Diabetes 250 is scheduled to be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network from the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval in Speedway, Indiana.

Qualifying for the race was canceled because of the rain, meaning that the 40 drivers who are entered in the race are set to line up by the owner points of the cars that they are driving.

As a result, Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney, a full-time Cup Series driver, is set to start the race form the pole position in his #22 Ford. JR Motorsports’ Justin Allgaier is set to start alongside him in second place in his #7 Chevrolet as the highest starting full-time Xfinity Series driver in the field.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Ryan Preece, a part-time Xfinity Series driver, is the highest starting Toyota driver in the field. He is set to start in third place in his #18 Toyota.
