The second race of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs is scheduled to take place this Saturday at Richmond Raceway. Here is the entry list for this race.
Following the opening race of the round of 16, the first of four rounds in the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, nine races remain until the champion will be crowned. The first of these nine race is scheduled to take place under the lights this Saturday night.
This race, the Federated Auto Parts 400, is the penultimate race of the three-race round of 16, and it is set to take place at Richmond Raceway. This race is set to be a 400-lap race around the four-turn. 0.75-mile (1.207-kilometer) D-shaped oval in Richmond, Virginia.
A total of 40 drivers are on the entry list for the Federated Auto Parts 400, although two of them have not yet been named.

All 29 drivers, including the 16 playoff drivers, who have competed in each and every one of the 27 races that have been contested so far this season are on the entry list for this race. In addition to these 29 drivers, 11 other part-time drivers are on the entry list.
Of those 11 part-time drivers, nine have been named. The two drivers who are set to drive the #51 Rick Ware Racing Chevrolet and the #52 Rick Ware Racing Ford have not yet been named. Of the nine drivers who have been named, all nine have made at least one career Cup Series start before and eight of them have made at least one Cup Series start this season.
The only driver who is on the entry list for this Saturday night’s race but has not competed in a Cup Series race so far this season is Alon Day. The 26-year-old Israeli is set to drive the #23 BK Racing Toyota in this race. He has made one start in his Cup Series career, as he drove the #23 Toyota in the race at Sonoma Raceway last season.
Assuming that all 40 drivers on the entry list end up competing in the Federated Auto Parts 400 on Saturday night, this race will be the sixth consecutive race featuring a full field of 40 drivers. This would be the case despite the fact that only five of the season’s first 22 races featured full fields of 40 drivers.
The most recent race that took place that did not feature a full field of 40 drivers was the race at Watkins Glen International. This race, which was the 22nd race of the season, took place on Sunday, August 5 and featured just 37 drivers.
Here is a list of the 11 part-time drivers who are set to compete alongside the 29 full-time drivers in the Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond Raceway on Saturday, September 22.
