The third and final race of the first round of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs is the Bank of America Roval 400. Here is the entry list for this race.

The third race of the 10-race 2018 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs and the final race of the opening round of the playoffs, the round of 16, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 30. After this race, four of the 16 playoff drivers will be eliminated while the other 12 will advance to the second round, the round of 12.

This race, the Bank of America Roval 400, is scheduled to be the first Cup Series race at the new Charlotte Motor Speedway roval, a 17-turn, 2.28-mile (3.669-kilometer) road course in Concord, North Carolina. As such, it is expected to be a wild card race during which fans should expect the unexpected and a whole lot more.

This new road course includes all but three small portions of the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Charlotte Motor Speedway oval track as well as two small chicanes on the oval track and a winding section of the track’s infield.

A total of 40 drivers are on the entry list for the Bank of America Roval 400, of whom 39 have been confirmed.

All 16 playoff drivers and the other 13 drivers who have competed in each of the 28 races that have been contested so far this season are on the entry list for this race, as are 11 other part-time drivers, of whom 10 have been named.

The driver who is set to drive the #51 Rick Ware Racing Ford has not yet been named. All 10 of the part-time drivers who have been named have made at least one career Cup Series start this season.

After only five of the first 22 races of the season featured full fields of 40 drivers, each of the last last six races have also done so. Assuming that all 40 drivers on the entry list for this Sunday’s race compete in it, the race will be the seventh race in a row to feature a full field of 40 drivers.

There have not been seven races in a row to feature full fields of 40 drivers since last year’s playoffs. A total of 40 drivers competed in every race from the third race of the 2017 playoffs at Dover International Speedway throughout the ninth race of the playoffs at ISM Raceway.

Here is a list of the 11 part-time drivers who are set to compete alongside the 16 playoff drivers and 13 other full-time drivers in the Bank of America Roval 400 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway roval on Sunday, September 30.
