Almirola, meanwhile, is locked into the third round of the playoffs, the round of 8, as a result of his victory. Logano and Busch are two of the other seven drivers who currently sit above the round of 8 cut line heading into the final race of the round of 12 at Kansas Speedway. Blaney is one of the four drivers who are currently below it. Chase Elliott is the only driver aside of Almirola to clinch a berth in the round of 8, as he won the opening race of the round of 12 at Dover International Speedway. He has earned two victories so far this season.
