The middle race of the round of 8 of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs is the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Here is the entry list for this race.
Two races remain on the schedule of the third round of the four-round, 10-race 2018 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, the round of 8, following the completion of the First Data 500 at Martinsville Speedway this past Sunday.
The first of these two races, which are the final two races before the Championship 4, is the AAA Texas 500. This race is scheduled to take place this Sunday, November 4 at Texas Motor Speedway.
A total of 41 cars are entered for the 334-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Texas Motor Speedway oval in Fort Worth, Texas. Of these 41 cars, 40 have confirmed drivers. There has not yet been a driver confirmed to drive the #97 Obaika Racing Toyota.

With an entry list of 41 cars, the AAA Texas 500 is set to feature a full field of 40 drivers. This race is set to be the fourth consecutive race and 11th race of the last 12 races to feature of full field of 40 drivers, which is impressive considering the fact that only five of the season’s first 22 races featured full fields of 40 drivers and only four others even featured 39 drivers.
Of the 40 confirmed drivers for this race, 29 are full-time drivers who have competed in each of the 33 races that have been contested so far this season. The other 11 are part-time drivers, of whom all 11 have made at least one Cup Series start so far in 2018.
Of the 29 full-time drivers who are entered in this race, eight are round of 8 drivers who are still eligible to win this year’s championship. Eight of the other 21 full-time drivers are drivers who qualified for the playoffs but were eliminated from championship contention either after the round of 16 or the round of 12. The other 13 drivers failed to qualify for the playoffs altogether.
Here is a list of the 12 part-time drivers who are set to compete with the eight round of 8 drivers, the eight previously eliminated playoff drivers and the other 13 full-time drivers in the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday, November 4.
NOTE: The part-time car without a confirmed driver for this race is also featured on this list.
