The third and final round of 8 race of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs is the Can-Am 500. Here is the entry list for this race.

Just one more race remains before the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, November 18. This lone race is the Can-Am 500, which is scheduled to take place at ISM Raceway this Sunday, November 11.

A total of 38 cars with 37 confirmed drivers are entered in the 500-lap race around the four-turn, 1.022-mile (1.645-kilometer) ISM Raceway in Avondale, Arizona. If 38 drivers end up competing in this race, this driver total will be the lowest of the playoffs thus far.

Just one of the eight playoff races that have been contested so far has not featured a full field of 40 drivers. This race was the round of 12 race at Dover International Speedway, which featured 39 drivers.

In fact, 11 of the last 12 races have featured full fields of 40 drivers, as this race at Dover International Speedway is the only race since the race at Watkins Glen International in early August to feature fewer than 40 drivers. This provisional driver total of 38 is the lowest in a race since that race at Watkins Glen International, which featured only 37 drivers.

Perhaps notable is the fact that Hendrick Motorsports’ Chase Elliott, who is one of the four round of 8 drivers entering the Can-Am 500 below the Championship 4 cut line, has won both of the last two races that did not feature full fields of 40 drivers. He won the regular season race at Watkins Glen International as well as the round of 12 race at Dover International Speedway, and his victories in these two races were his first two career Cup Series victories. He has since won the round of 12 race at Kansas Speedway, which did feature a full field of 40 drivers.

Of the 37 confirmed drivers who are set to compete in this Sunday’s Can-Am 500, 29 are full-time drivers who have competed in each of the 34 races that have been contested so far this season while the other eight are part-time drivers.

Eight of the 29 full-time drivers are round of 8 playoff drivers who still have a chance to win this year’s championship while eight of them were playoff drivers who were eliminated either following the round of 16 or the round of 12. The other 13 full-time drivers who are set to compete in this race are the 13 full-time drivers who failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Here is a list of the eight part-time drivers who are set to compete alongside the 29 full-time drivers in the Can-Am 500 at ISM Raceway on Sunday, November 11.
