Conclusion
As expected, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel maintained their positions in first and second place, respectively, atop the formulated Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings. The most notable change involved the drivers in third and fourth.
Max Verstappen, who finished the Brazilian Grand Prix in second place, entered the race in third in the formulated Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings. Raikkonen, who finished in third, entered it in fourth. However, these two drivers switched after the race even though Verstappen finished higher than Raikkonen did in it.

This was the case because of the fact that Raikkonen’s average finish in the last five races improved while Verstappen’s, while it is still impressive, did not.
Heading into the race, Raikkonen’s average finish in the last five races was 3.6. His third place finish in it replaced his fifth place finish in the Singapore Grand Prix in the calculation for his average finish in the last five races, so his average finish in the last five races improved to 3.2.
Heading into the race and exiting the race, Verstappen’s average finish was and is 2.6, as his second place finish in it replaced his second place finish in the Singapore Grand Prix in the calculation for his average finish in the last five races.
While Verstappen’s average finish in the last five races is still better than Raikkonen’s, Raikkonen has other factors, such as a better average finish (5.35 to 6.25) on his side that give him the advantage over the 21-year-old Dutchman as far as these rankings are concerned.
The 2018 Formula 1 season finale is the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which is scheduled to begin at 8:10 a.m. ET on Sunday, November 25. This race is set to be broadcast live on ESPN2 from Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
