The 2018 NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 is set to take place this Sunday. How have each of the four Championship 4 drivers fared in past Cup Series Championship 4 battles?

The 2018 NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 is upon us, as the first 35 races on this year’s 36-race schedule are in the books. Following the round of 8, the Championship 4 field has been set.

All four of the drivers who are set to compete in the season finale, the Ford EcoBoost 400, at Homestead-Miami Speedway have competed in the Championship 4 at least once before. In fact, all four of them have competed in it at least twice before.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch, Team Penske’s Joey Logano, Furniture Row Racing’s Martin Truex Jr. and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick are the four drivers who are set to enter the 267-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Homestead-Miami Speedway oval in Homestead, Florida with a chance to win the 2018 Cup Series championship.

Kyle Busch

Kyle Busch competed in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 in the 2015 season, the 2016 season and the 2017 season. In 2015, he won the race en route to securing his first career Cup Series championship. In 2016, he finished the race in sixth place en route to a third place finish in the championship standings, and in 2017, he finished the race in second en route to a second place finish in the standings.

Joey Logano

Joey Logano competed in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 in the 2014 season and the 2016 season. In 2014, he finished the race in 16th place en route to a then career-high fourth place finish in the championship standings, and in 2016, he finished the race in fourth en route to a career-high second place finish in the standings.

Martin Truex Jr.

Martin Truex Jr. competed in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 in the 2015 season and the 2017 season. In 2015, he finished the race in 12th place en route to a then career-high fourth place finish in the championship standings, and in 2017, he won the race en route to securing his first career Cup Series championship.

Kevin Harvick

Kevin Harvick competed in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 in the 2014 season, the 2015 season and the 2017 season. In 2014, he won the race en route to securing his first career Cup Series championship. In 2015, he finished the race in second place en route to a second place finish in the championship standings, and in 2017, he finished the race in fourth en route to a third place finish in the standings.
