Justin Haley has signed a multi-year contract to drive for Kaulig Racing beginning in the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

After spending the last two seasons driving full-time behind the wheel of the #24 GMS Racing Chevrolet in the NASCAR Truck Series, Justin Haley is set to move to the Xfinity Series after signing a multi-year contract to drive full-time for Kaulig Racing.

The 19-year-old Winamac, Indiana native, who won the 2016 K&N Pro Series East championship, competed part-time in the Truck Series for Braun Motorsports in the 2015 and 2016 seasons before landing a full-time ride with GMS Racing starting with the third race in the 2017 season.

Haley is set to replace Ryan Truex behind the wheel of the #11 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet beginning next season. Truex spent just the 2018 season driving the #11 Chevrolet after he was promoted from the Truck Series, where he drove full-time for Hattori Racing Enterprises in the 2017 season.

Here is what Kaulig Racing team owner Matt Kaulig had to say about Haley signing with the team for the 2019 season and beyond, according to NASCAR.

"“I am really looking forward to 2019. Justin is coming off of the best season of his young career and I can’t wait to see what he can do in the No. 11 car.”"

More from Xfinity Series

Haley has made three starts in his Xfinity Series career so far. He made all three of these starts in the 2018 season driving for GMS Racing and recorded an average starting position of 23.67 and an average finishing position of 22.67. He competed in the June race at Iowa Speedway, the July race at Daytona International Speedway and the August race at Watkins Glen.

Haley’s best finish in these three races was his 12th place finish in the race at Iowa Speedway. He originally won the race at Daytona International Speedway, but it was ruled after the race that he made his winning pass by going below the yellow line. As a result, he was relegated to an 18th place finish. He finished in 38th in the race at Watkins Glen International, which was the only one of these three races of which he did not complete every lap.

In the Truck Series this past season, Haley qualified for the Championship 4 after earning his first three career victories in the races at Gateway Motorsports Park in June, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in August and Texas Motor Speedway in November.

Haley finished in third place in the Truck Series championship standings this past season with these three victories, nine top five finishes and a series-high 18 top 10 finishes. He recorded an average starting position of 9.70 and an average finishing position of 8.91.
