Which 10 drivers will end up winning their respective teammate battles in the 2019 Formula 1 season? Here are our predictions for each of the 10 battles.

Of the 20 drivers who are set to compete in the 2019 Formula 1 season, six of them have switched teams from the 2018 season. Meanwhile, another six did not compete in the sport in the 2018 season. The other eight are set to drive for the same teams for which they drove in the 2019 season.

While eight drivers are set to stay put from the 2018 season to the 2019 season, the driver lineups of only two of the sport’s 10 teams are set to remain exactly the same from the 2018 season to the 2019 season.

Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton are both set to return to Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport while Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen are both set to return to Rich Energy Haas.

Meanwhile, the other four drivers who are set to stay put from the 2018 season to the 2019 season are set to have new teammates.

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen is set to be joined by former Scuderia Toro Rosso driver Pierre Gasly while Racing Point’s Sergio Perez is set to be joined by former Williams Racing driver Lance Stroll.

Also, Renault’s Nico Hulkenberg is set to be joined by former Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo while Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel is set to be joined by former Alfa Romeo Sauber driver Charles Leclerc.

Meanwhile, the driver lineups of Sauber, McLaren, Toro Rosso and Williams were all completely overhauled from the 2018 season to the 2019 season. Only two of the eight drivers who are set to compete for one of those teams even competed at all in the sport in the 2018 season, and they did so driving for different teams.

Those two drivers are former Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen and former Renault driver Carlos Sainz Jr., who are set to join rookie Antonio Giovinazzi and rookie Lando Norris at Sauber and McLaren, respectively.

The four other new arrivals to the grid for the 2019 season are former drivers Daniil Kvyat and Robert Kubica, who are set to drive for Toro Rosso and Williams, respectively, as well as rookies Alexander Albon and George Russell, who are also set to drive for Toro Rosso and Williams, respectively.

So which 10 drivers will win their respective teammate battles in the 2019 season? Here are our predictions for each of the 10 battles. Let’s get started with Williams and Toro Rosso.
