#12 through #10

#12. . No. 18. Racing Point, Mercedes. LANCE STROLL

Lance Stroll’s talent is often masked by the fact that his father Lawrence spent $80 million to get him a ride in Formula 1. Stroll’s struggles driving for Williams this past season were largely due to the fact that the team were nowhere near the level of really any other team on the grid. But the driver who finished a race on the podium and started one on the front row in his rookie season driving for the Grove-based team is set to get the chance to showcase his talent driving for a mid-pack Racing Point team that his father led the purchase of in the summer of 2018. This season could be a make-or-break season in his Formula 1 career.

KEVIN MAGNUSSEN. #11. . No. 20. Rich Energy Haas, Ferrari

Kevin Magnussen had a solid 2018 season and was in contention to be the “best of the rest” driver throughout much of it, although he ultimately came up short and finished in ninth place in the driver standings. He has established himself as a solid mid-pack driver and will likely continue to be one in the 2019 season and perhaps beyond that assuming he continues to drive for Haas, which is a good possibility.

#10. . No. 8. Rich Energy Haas, Ferrari. ROMAIN GROSJEAN

Romain Grosjean struggled for much of the first half of the 2018 season, and many people believed that he was at risk of losing his ride for the 2019 season because of it. However, he responded with a strong second half of the season and managed to outscore teammate Kevin Magnussen 37 to 29 over the course of the season’s final 13 races despite the fact that he lost his sixth place finish in the Italian Grand Prix since he was disqualified from the race after it ended.
