NASCAR Xfinity and Truck Series: Kyle Busch has already tied 2018 win total
By Asher Fair
In just three combined starts in the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series and Truck Series seasons, Kyle Busch has already matched his combined win total from the 2018 season.
In the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, Kyle Busch competed in seven races, which is the maximum number of races in which he is allowed to compete in the series as a result of the fact that he has competed in the Cup Series on a full-time basis for at least five seasons.
The 33-year-old Las Vegas, Nevada native also competed in five races in the 2018 Truck Series season, which, again, is the maximum number of races in which he is allowed to compete in the series, and for the same reason that seven races is the maximum number of races in which he is allowed to compete in the Xfinity Series.
In these seven Xfinity Series races, Busch earned one victory, as he won the June race at Pocono Raceway. In these five Truck Series races, Busch earned two victories, as he won the March race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the July race at Pocono Raceway.

March has only just begun, and Busch has competed in just one Xfinity Series race behind the wheel of the #18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota and two Truck Series races behind the wheel of the #51 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota so far this season, yet he has already matched his combined win total from last season in these two series.
Having not competed in an Xfinity Series or a Truck Series race and failed to win it so far this season, Busch has already earned a combined three victories in these two series in 2019. He won the Truck Series race, the Ultimate Tailgating 200, at Atlanta Motor Speedway before winning the Truck Series race, the Strat 200, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and then the Xfinity Series race, the Boyd Gaming 300, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Busch is also set to compete in another six Xfinity Series races and another three Truck Series races before the 2019 season ends, which should give him a number of great opportunities to add to his combined win total in these two series.
In the Xfinity Series, Busch is set to compete in the race at ISM Raceway on Saturday, March 9, the race at Auto Club Speedway on Saturday, March 16, the race at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday, March 30, the race at Watkins Glen International on Saturday, August 3, the race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday, August 16 and the race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 7 before the 2019 seasons ends.
In the Truck Series, Busch is set to compete in the race at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, March 23, the race at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, March 29 and the race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday, May 17 before the 2019 season ends.
Busch’s career win totals in both the Xfinity Series and the Truck Series are all-time records. He has earned 93 career Xfinity Series victories and 53 career Truck Series victories.
With a combined nine races left on his schedule in the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season and the 2019 Truck Series season, how many more victories will Kyle Busch earn before the 2019 season comes to a close?
