Formula 1: Lewis Hamilton ranked at #21 on ESPN World Fame 100

Five-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton was ranked at #21 on the 2019 ESPN World Fame 100, which ranks the world’s most famous athletes.
ESPN revealed their fourth World Fame 100 on Tuesday morning, and Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton made it into these rankings. In fact, he ended up being ranked toward the top of the list at #21.
These rankings were compiled by factoring in the Google Trend score, the amount of money earned through endorsement deals and the social media following of all of the athletes around the world.
Hamilton has a Google Trend score of 3, endorsement deals worth $33 million, and a social media following of over 8.7 million. He has been in the ESPN World Fame 100 in each of its first four years of existence, but #21 is by far his best ranking. After being ranked at #59 in 2016, he was ranked at #84 in 2017 and then at #68 in 2018.

Over the course of his Formula 1 career, Hamilton has earned 73 victories, which ranks second on the all-time wins list, 134 podium finishes, which ranks second on the all-time podium finishes list, 83 pole positions, which is the all-time record, and five championships, which is tied for second on the all-time titles list.
The only driver who has earned more Formula 1 victories than Hamilton has is Michael Schumacher, whose 91 career victories make him the all-time recordholder. Schumacher is also the only driver who has recorded more podium finishes than Hamilton has, as he recorded 155 of them throughout his career, and he is the only driver who has won more championships than Hamilton has, as he won seven of them throughout his career.
Juan Manuel Fangio is the driver with whom Hamilton is tied for second place on the all-time Formula 1 championships list with five championships.
The 2019 Formula 1 season is set to be Hamilton’s 13th season in the sport, and it is set to be his seventh season driving for Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsports, the team with which he has earned 52 of his victories, 85 of his podium finishes, 57 of his pole positions and four of his championships.
