Formula E: Oliver Rowland takes pole for 2019 Sanya ePrix

Oliver Rowland took the pole position for the sixth race of the 2018-2019 Formula E season, the Sanya ePrix, at Sanya Street Circuit.
Nissan e.dams’ Oliver Rowland became the sixth different driver to take a pole position through the first six races of the 13-race 2018-2019 Formula E season, as he took the pole position for the season’s sixth race, the Sanya ePrix, at Sanya Street Circuit.
Rowland took the pole position for this 45-minute race around the 11-turn, 1.156-mile (1.860-kilometer) Sanya Street Circuit temporary street circuit in Sanya, China by recording a top lap time of 67.945 seconds (61.250 miles per hour) in his #22 Spark-Nissan in the Super Pole qualifying session.
DS Techeetah’s Jean-Eric Vergne is set to start the race alongside Rowland on the front row after qualifying in second place in his #25 Spark-DS Automobiles.

BMW i Andretti Motorsport’s Antonio Felix da Costa and Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler’s Daniel Abt qualified in third and fourth place in their #28 Spark-BMW and #66 Spark-Audi, respectively, and are set to share the second row on the starting grid for the race.
Nissan e.dams’ Sebastien Buemi and BMW i Andretti Motorsport’s Alexander Sims, the slowest two of the six drivers who advanced to the Super Pole qualifying session, qualified in fifth and sixth place in their #23 Spark-Nissan and #27 Spark-BMW, respectively, and are set to start the race on the third row.
DS Techeetah’s Andre Lotterer, Mahindra Racing teammates Jerome d’Ambrosio and rookie Pascal Wehrlein, and Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler’s Lucas di Grassi are set to round out the starting grid for the race after qualifying in seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th place in their #36 Spark-DS Automobiles, #64 Spark-Mahindra, #94 Spark-Mahindra and #11 Spark-Audi, respectively.
