By Asher Fair
How were the Formula E Team Power Rankings affected by DS Techeetah’s first victory of the 2018-2019 season and the rest of the action in the Sanya ePrix?
Throughout the entire 12-race 2017-2018 Formula E season, only four teams won at least one race. Through the first five races of the 2018-2019 season, five different drivers representing five different teams had won at least one race.
By winning the 36-lap Sanya ePrix around the 11-turn, 1.156-mile (1.860-kilometer) Sanya Street Circuit temporary street circuit in Sanya, China, Jean-Eric Vergne became the sixth different driver to win a race through the first six races of the season.
As a result, Vergne also made DS Techeetah the sixth different team to win a race through the first six races of the season.
