Lewis Hamilton secured a shocking victory in the Bahrain Grand Prix. How did his victory affect the Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings?

After Scuderia Ferrari teammates Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc both experienced issues late in the second race of the 21-race 2019 Formula 1 season, with Vettel spinning out and Leclerc’s engine experiencing issues, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport’s Lewis Hamilton shot from third place to the lead of the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Hamilton went on to win the 57-lap race around the 15-turn, 3.363-mile (5.412-kilometer) Bahrain International Circuit road course in Sakhir, Bahrain, giving him his first victory of the season and making him the season’s second different winner through the first two races.

Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas is the other driver who has won a race this season, as he won the season opener, the Australian Grand Prix, ahead of Hamilton in second place.
