With nine races down and 27 remaining on the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, how do the NASCAR Cup Series Team Power Rankings look?

Heading into the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season, through the first eight races in any season, there had always been at least three different teams that had won at least one race. This changed last week when Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch won the season’s eighth race, the Food City 500, at Bristol Motor Speedway.

With Joe Gibbs Racing’s Martin Truex Jr. having won Saturday night’s Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway, the 2019 season has now also become the first season in Cup Series history to feature only two teams winning any of a season’s first nine races.

Truex Jr.’s victory in the 400-lap race around the four-turn, 0.75-mile (1.207-kilometer) Richmond Raceway oval in Richmond, Virginia was Joe Gibbs Racing’s sixth victory of the season, as Busch has earned three victories while Denny Hamlin has earned two.

Team Penske are the only other team that have won any races so far this season, as Brad Keselowski has earned two victories while Joey Logano has earned one.

More from NASCAR Cup Series

Joe Gibbs Racing and Team Penske have been the only two teams that have won any races this season after each and every race aside of the season opener, as Hamlin won the season opener, the Daytona 500, at Daytona International Speedway before Keselowski won the season’s second race, the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500, at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

How did Joe Gibbs Racing’s sixth victory in the season’s first nine races affect the NASCAR Cup Series Team Power Rankings? Here are the formulated NASCAR Cup Series Team Power Rankings and the non-formulated NASCAR Cup Series Team Power Rankings following the Toyota Owners 400.
