NASCAR Truck Series: Kyle Busch dominates 2019 NC Education Lottery 200

Kyle Busch dominated the NC Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in his final start of the 2019 NASCAR Truck Series season.
Kyle Busch Motorsports’ Kyle Busch dominated his fifth and final start in the 2019 NASCAR Truck Series season at Charlotte Motor Speedway to earn his fifth victory of the 23-race season in the NC Education Lottery 200.
Busch, who started this 134-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Charlotte Motor Speedway oval in eighth place in his #51 Toyota, won it by 1.115 seconds over On Point Motorsports’ Brennan Poole in second in his #30 Toyota.
Halmar Friesen Racing’s Stewart Friesen, who started the race from the pole position, was the highest finishing Chevrolet driver of the race. He finished in third place in his #52 Chevrolet. ThorSport Racing teammates Ben Rhodes and Matt Crafton rounded out the top five by finishing in fourth and fifth in their #99 Ford and #88 Ford, respectively.

Hattori Racing Enterprises’ Austin Hill, Kyle Busch Motorsports’ Todd Gilliland, DGR-Crosley’s Anthony Alfredo, ThorSport Racing’s Grant Enfinger and Niece Motorsports’ Ross Chastain rounded out the top 10 by finishing in sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th place in their #16 Toyota, #4 Toyota, #15 Toyota, #98 Ford and #45 Chevrolet, respectively.
The race featured a total of 19 lead changes among nine drivers. Aside of Busch, who was the only driver who led more than seven laps of the race with 102 laps led, eight other drivers led at least one lap of the race.
These eight drivers were Rhodes, Crafton, Hill, Gilliland, Enfinger, Chastain, ThorSport Racing’s Johnny Sauter and CMI Motorsports’ Stefan Parsons. Crafton won stage one while Busch won stage two.
The race also featured a total of seven caution flag periods, of which five took place as a result of on-track incidents and two took place as a result of the usual endings of stage one and stage two. Of the 32 drivers who started the race, 27 finished it, and of the 27 drivers who finished the race, 18 finished on the lead lap.
