Kyle Busch earned his series-high fourth victory of the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season by winning the season’s 14th race, the Pocono 400, at Pocono Raceway.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch is back in victory lane for the first time since he won the race at Bristol Motor Speedway in early April, as he earned his fourth victory of the 36-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season by winning the season’s 14th race, the Pocono 400, at Pocono Raceway,

Busch started this 160-lap race around the three-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) Pocono Raceway triangle in Long Pond, Pennsylvania in second place in his #18 Toyota, and he won it by 2.224 seconds over Team Penske’s Brad Keselowski in second.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Erik Jones finished in third place in his #20 Toyota ahead of the race’s highest finishing Chevrolet driver, Hendrick Motorsports’ Chase Elliott, who finished in fourth in his #9 Chevrolet. Stewart-Haas Racing’s Clint Bowyer rounded out the top five by finishing in fifth in his #14 Ford.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin, Team Penske’s Joey Logano, Stewart-Haas Racing’s Daniel Suarez, Hendrick Motorsports’ William Byron, who started the race from the pole position, and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Aric Almirola rounded out the top 10 by finishing in sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th place in their #11 Toyota, #22 Ford, #14 Ford, #24 Chevrolet and #10 Ford, respectively.

This race featured a total of 13 lead changes among nine drivers. Aside of Busch, who led more laps than anybody else in the field with 79 laps led, eight drivers led at least one lap. These eight drivers were Keselowski, Elliott, Bowyer, Hamlin, Suarez, Byron, Richard Childress Racing rookie Daniel Hemric and Chip Ganassi Racing’s Kyle Larson.

Larson won both stage one and stage two but lost a potential top five finish late in the race by making contact with the wall, relegating him to 26th place, one lap off the lead lap.

The race also featured a total of eight caution flag periods, of which five took place as a result of on-track incidents, two took place as a result of the usual endings of stages one and two and one was a competition caution that took place in stage one as a result of the fact that the track had been rained on overnight. Of the 37 drivers who started the race, 34 finished it, and of these 34 drivers, 21 finished on the lead lap.
