Formula 1, NASCAR Cup Series, IndyCar and Formula E: A rare weekend off
By Asher Fair
This weekend is a rare weekend during racing season, as Formula 1, the NASCAR Cup Series, IndyCar and Formula E all have off.
Rarely can we say that none of Formula 1, the NASCAR Cup Series, IndyCar and Formula E are in action on a given weekend, but this weekend, Father’s Day Weekend, is one of those weekends.
The most recent Formula 1, NASCAR Cup Series and IndyCar races all took place this past week, with the Formula 1 race taking place on Sunday, June 9, the rain-delayed Cup Series race taking place on Monday, June 10 and the IndyCar race taking place on Saturday, June 8, while the most recent Formula E race took place on Saturday, May 25.
The most recent Formula E race was the Berlin ePrix, the 37-lap race around the 10-turn, 1.398-mile (2.250-kilometer) Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit temporary street circuit in Berlin, Germany.

This race, which is set to be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1, is set to be the final race of the season that is broadcast on Fox or Fox Sports 1. As such, it is also set to be Darrell Waltrip’s final race in the broadcast booth.
This 90-lap race around the 12-turn, 2.52-mile (4.055-kilometer) Sonoma Raceway road course in Sonoma, California is scheduled to take place even later in the afternoon on Sunday, June 23, as the live broadcast it set to start at 3:00 p.m. ET.
