Mexican Grand Prix
The Mexican Grand Prix has been the great equalizer among power units due to Mexico City’s high elevation. As long as that remains the case, it might as well be called the Maxican Grand Prix, because Max Verstappen has been the only driver to make a pass for the lead in it in the last two seasons in his dominant Red Bull Racing chassis.

Brazilian Grand Prix
Verstappen was by far and away the dominant driver in a race that Red Bull Racing were slated to be non-factors with no drivers starting in the first two rows. After starting in fifth place, he took the early lead of the race and appeared to be en route to winning it before he was wrecked by Esteban Ocon, ironically a Mercedes junior driver, thus handing the lead to Lewis Hamilton. Although he was now driving a severely damaged race car, the driver who truly made a name himself through his brilliant drive in the rain in this race back in the 2016 season nearly managed to chase down Hamilton down to collect the victory that should have been his to begin with. He came up just shy in second but was undoubtedly the class of the field.
Winner: Max Verstappen
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
When I wrote the recap for last year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, I was standing in line for Splash Mountain at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Fittingly, my overtake total in that line was roughly equal to that of the race itself, particularly when it came to the front of the pack. But at least look for Hamilton to overtake Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher for the lead of the single-season wins list with his 14th victory of the season in this race.
Winner: Lewis Hamilton
Who do you see winning each of the 13 remaining races on the 2019 Formula 1 schedule? The season’s ninth race, the Austrian Grand Prix, is scheduled to take place this Sunday, June 30, and it is set to be broadcast live from the Red Bull Racing in Spielberg, Styria, Austria beginning at 9:10 a.m. ET on ESPN2.
