Brett Moffitt earned his second victory of the 2019 NASCAR Truck Series season by winning the Camping World 225 at Chicagoland Speedway.

Reigning NASCAR Truck Series champion Brett Moffitt earned his second victory of the 2019 season and his first after physically taking the checkered flag ahead of the rest of the field, as he won the 23-race season’s 12th race, the Camping World 225, at Chicagoland Speedway.

The GMS Racing driver started this 150-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Chicagoland Speedway oval in Joliet, Illinois in third place in his #24 Chevrolet en route to winning it by 3.950 seconds over Kyle Busch Motorsports’ Brandon Jones in second in his #51 Toyota. Moffitt also won this race last season driving for Hattori Racing Enterprises.

Moffitt’s first victory of the season came two weekends ago in the M&M’s 200 at Iowa Speedway after he originally finished in second place but was declared the race winner after the winning truck of Niece Motorsports’ Ross Chastain failed post-race inspection. Moffitt is the first driver to earn two victories that go toward his playoff eligibility this season.
