Biggest Movers
Up: Lando Norris (+3)
Down: Nico Hulkenberg (-2)
There were no hugely surprising movements in this week’s edition of the formulated Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings. With his second career-high sixth place finish, Lando Norris moved up a field-high three positions from 12th to ninth. He notably finished ahead of Pierre Gasly in seventh. Gasly continues to struggle in his first season driving for Red Bull Racing.
Max Verstappen jumped ahead over Sebastian Vettel for third in these rankings after winning the Austrian Grand Prix in come-from-behind fashion. Vettel finished this race in fourth place. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton maintained his position at the top after his fifth place finish, which was just his third non-win and his first non-top two finish of the season.
The next race on the 2019 Formula 1 schedule is the season’s 10th race, the British Grand Prix. This race is scheduled to take place at Silverstone Circuit in England, United Kingdom on Sunday, July 14, and it is set to be broadcast live on ESPN2 beginning at 9:10 a.m. ET.
