This Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race, the Go Bowling at The Glen, at Watkins Glen International is set to feature 37 drivers.

Just five races remain on the 26-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series regular season schedule before the four-round, 10-race playoffs, and the first of these five races, the 22nd race of the season, is scheduled to take place this Sunday, August 4.

This race, the Go Bowling at The Glen, is set to take place at the second road course on the 2019 schedule, Watkins Glen International. Watkins Glen International is the second of three road courses on the schedule and the seventh of 10 tracks that are only scheduled to host one race this year.

A total of 37 drivers are set to compete in this 90-lap race around the eight-turn, 2.454-mile (3.949-kilometer) Watkins Glen International road course in Watkins Glen, New York.

More from NASCAR Cup Series

Only four of the season’s first 21 races have featured fewer than 37 drivers.

Of the 37 drivers who are set to compete in this race, 32 are full-time drivers, and of these 32 full-time drivers, only StarCom Racing’s Landon Cassill is not eligible to score points in the Cup Series.

Of the five part-time drivers who are set to compete in this race, three have been confirmed while two have not. The three part-time drivers who have been confirmed are Premium Motorsports’ Quin Houff, Spire Motorsports’ Reed Sorenson and Gaunt Brothers Racing’s Parker Kligerman.

Houff and Sorenson are set to drive for chartered teams behind the wheels of the #15 Chevrolet and #77 Chevrolet, respectively, while Kligerman is set to drive for a non-chartered team behind the wheel of the #96 Toyota, although this should not matter much since the entry list is not full and nobody will be bumped from the field.

The drivers of the #51 Petty Ware Racing Ford and the #52 Rick Ware Racing Ford have not yet been confirmed, which has been a theme in recent weeks leading up to races. But whichever two drivers end up being confirmed as the drivers of these two cars are set to drive for chartered teams in this race.
