Brett Moffitt continued his NASCAR Truck Series playoff onslaught by dominating the Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

GMS Racing’s Brett Moffitt seems to be the only driver who can win NASCAR Truck Series playoff races nowadays.

After winning the opening race of the playoffs at Bristol Motor Speedway, he dominated the race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The reigning Truck Series champion also won the final two playoff races of the 2018 season en route to winning the title driving for Hattori Racing Enterprises.

As a result, he has now secured four consecutive playoff race victories.

More from Camping World Truck Series

Following his most recent victory, Moffitt remains the only driver who has clinched a berth in the second of three rounds in this year’s seven-race playoffs, the round of 6.

Niece Motorsports’ Ross Chastain is pretty safe above the playoff cut line as well after finishing in eighth place in his #45 Chevrolet, as he sits 28 points ahead of that cut line.

Of the six drivers below him, the top five are separated by just six points. The last place driver, DGR Crosley’s Tyler Ankrum, sits just 14 points below the playoff cut line himself, so he is still very much in the mix as well heading into the round of 8 finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in just under three weeks.

As for the Chevrolet Silverado 250 itself, Moffitt was really the only playoff driver who had a great race. The next highest finishing playoff driver was fifth place finisher Austin Hill of Hattori Racing Enterprises, and his fifth place finish brought him above the playoff cut line while sending sixth place finisher Johnny Sauter of ThorSport Racing below it.

The lackluster 13th place finish of ThorSport Racing’s Grant Enfinger, the lowest finishing playoff driver of this race, resulted in him falling to the playoff bubble. He now sits just two points ahead of Sauter right below it.
