Red Bull Racing

#33. . No. 33. Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, Honda. MAX VERSTAPPEN

CONFIRMED: Ending months of speculation that he would sign with Mercedes, the performance exit clause in Max Verstappen’s contract with Red Bull Racing, which doesn’t end until the end of the 2020 season, expired without him being able to trigger it, team manager Helmut Marko confirmed. As a result, he is set for his fifth consecutive season with the Milton Keynes-based team next year.

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, Honda. ALEXANDER ALBON. #23. . No. 23

SPECULATION: Alexander Albon has not yet driven in a race for Red Bull Racing following his mid-season promotion from Scuderia Toro Rosso. Him finding success over the course of the 2019 season’s final nine races would make Red Bull Racing’s decision for who to pair with Max Verstappen next year easy, and perhaps most importantly, low-risk. After Pierre Gasly struggled mightily through the season’s first 12 races, it’s safe to say that if Albon can provide the team with some sense of consistency when it comes to securing solid results, he will be back with them next year.
