NASCAR Cup Series: 2019 Bank of America Roval 400 entry list

A total of 40 drivers are set to compete in the final race of the round of 16 of the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, the Bank of America Roval 400.
The opening round of the four-round, 10-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, the round of 16, is scheduled to come to an end with its third and final race, the Bank of America Roval 400, at the Charlotte Motor Speedway roval this Sunday, September 29.
A total of 40 drivers are set to compete in this 109-lap race around the 17-turn, 2.28-mile (3.669-kilometer) Charlotte Motor Speedway roval in Concord, North Carolina, so the field will be full.
Charlotte Motor Speedway is one of 13 tracks on the 36-race schedule and one of nine tracks on the playoff schedule to host two races throughout the season, although it hosts one race on its oval and one race on its interior road course/roval. The race at the track’s oval was held in late May.

The only track remaining on the 2019 schedule that hosts just one race throughout the season is the site of the season finale, Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Of the 40 drivers who are set to compete in Sunday afternoon’s Bank of America Roval 400, 36 are set to drive for chartered teams while four, all part-time drivers, are not. Of these 36 drivers, 33 are full-time drivers and three are part-time drivers.
Of the 33 full-time drivers who are set to compete in this race, 32 have competed in each of the season’s first 28 races and 31 are eligible to score Cup Series points. StarCom Racing’s Landon Cassill and Premium Motorsports’ Ross Chastain are both ineligible to score Cup Series points, and Chastain did not compete in the June race at Michigan International Speedway.
Of the 31 full-time drivers who are eligible to score points, 16 are playoff drivers are still alive to win this year’s championship. Three of them have already clinched berths in the next round of the playoffs, the round of 12, and nine more are slated to do so in this Sunday afternoon’s race, as this race is the third and final race of the round of 16.
The three part-time drivers who are set to drive for chartered teams in this race are Petty Ware Racing’s Cody Ware, Rick Ware Racing’s Garrett Smithley and Spire Motorsports’ Reed Sorenson.
The four part-time drivers who are set to drive for non-chartered teams in this race are Premium Motorsports’ Joe Nemechek, MBM Motorsports’ Timmy Hill, Gaunt Brothers Racing’s Parker Kligerman and another Rick Ware Racing driver who has not yet been named.
