With the round of 16 of the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs in the books, how do the 12 remaining playoff drivers stack up against one another?

The opening round of the four-round, 10-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, the round of 16, came to an end this past Sunday afternoon with the Bank of America Roval 400 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway roval.

Following this 109-lap race around the 17-turn, 2.28-mile (3.669-kilometer) Charlotte Motor Speedway roval in Concord, North Carolina, which was won in come-from-behind fashion by Hendrick Motorsports’ Chase Elliott, four of the originally 16 playoff drivers were eliminated while 12, including three who had already secured their spots in the next round, moved on to the round of 12.

Unfortunately for Stewart-Haas Racing’s Aric Almirola, Roush Fenway Racing’s Ryan Newman, Chip Ganassi Racing’s Kurt Busch and Joe Gibbs Racing’s Erik Jones, their championship hopes for the 2019 season went completely out the window in this race.

But as for Elliott, Hendrick Motorsports teammates Alex Bowman and William Byron, Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr. and Denny Hamlin, Team Penske teammates Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski and Ryan Blaney, Stewart-Haas Racing teammates Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer and Chip Ganassi Racing’s Kyle Larson, they are still in contention to hoist the championship trophy at Homestead-Miami Speedway in mid-November.

How do the 12 round of 12 drivers stack up against one another heading into the second of four rounds of the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs?
