The NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Talladega Superspeedway, the 1000Bulbs.com 500, has been suspended until Monday after what began as a rain delay following stage one.

Two laps after Hendrick Motorsports’ William Byron won stage one of three in the 1000Bulbs.com 500, the NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Talladega Superspeedway, the series called the field to the pits due to precipitation.

At this point, only 57 of the race’s 188 scheduled laps around the four-turn, 2.66-mile (4.281-kilometer) high-banked Talladega Superspeedway oval in Lincoln, Alabama had been contested.

The track did not end up seeing any more action on Sunday, as after a red flag period of roughly two hours, the series officially suspended the remainder of the race until Monday, October 14.

The race is slated to resume at 2:00 p.m. ET tomorrow afternoon, and it is set to be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network as opposed to NBC, where it was broadcast live from 2:00 p.m. ET earlier this afternoon.

Byron won stage one, which featured only one caution flag period aside of the stage-ending caution, ahead of Team Penske’s Joey Logano in second place and teammate Alex Bowman in third.

In total, the stage featured 15 lead changes among 12 different drivers. Race polesitter Chase Elliott of Hendrick Motorsports led only three laps and finished the stage in 18th place. Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney led a stage-high 15 laps, but he spun coming into the pits trying to slow down. However, he rebounded for a 10th place finish in the stage even after he was penalized for speeding in the pits.
