For the remainder of the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, the Earnhardt name is set to be back in the sport with Bobby Dale Earnhardt at MBM Motorsports.
The 2019 NASCAR season is quickly coming to a close, as a total of 31 of the scheduled 36 Cup Series races, 29 of the scheduled 33 Xfinity Series races and 20 of the scheduled 23 Truck Series have been completed, leaving just 12 of the scheduled 92 races to be contested before three champions are crowned.
Of the other 80 races, nine have featured an Earnhardt, the lowest total for a single season since Dale Earnhardt competed in only five of the 30 races on the 1978 schedule.
Jeffrey Earnhardt has competed in seven Xfinity Series races and one Cup Series race this season while Dale Earnhardt Jr. has competed in one Xfinity Series race.

Now there is set to be an Earnhardt in each of the final four races on the Xfinity Series schedule, as Bobby Dale Earnhardt, the fourth-generation stock car driver who is the eldest grandchild of Dale, the nephew of Dale Jr. and the brother of Jeffrey, has confirmed that he is set to drive for MBM Motorsports throughout the remainder of the season.
The 32-year-old Mooresville, North Carolina native is slated to drive the #66 Toyota for the team with Hyatt Life Sciences as his sponsor beginning in this Saturday afternoon’s Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway.
Here is what Earnhardt had to say about this opportunity to compete for MBM Motorsports with sponsorship from Hyatt Life Sciences, according to Jayski.
"“I’m very excited to break this news. Hyatt Life Sciences is jumping on board and they are such an amazing company and their products are really impressive! I’m proud to have such an innovative group partnering with me.“Hyatt Life Sciences is a perfect fit for us. We both have a hardworking work ethic. They put in hard work, lots of research, and dedication to helping people with their health goals. But another thing I love is their vibrant user network. Their Facebook page is loaded with users sharing information on how their supplements have helped with health needs.”"
Earnhardt has competed in four Xfinity Series in his career, including two in the 2017 season and two in the 2018 season. His finished two of these four races, both in the 2017 season, but his career-high finish is his 27th place finish in last year’s playoff race at Kansas Speedway even though a fuel pump issue forced him to retire just 133 laps into the 200-lap race.
The remaining three tracks on the 2019 schedule after Kansas Speedway are Texas Motor Speedway, ISM Raceway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.
NBC’s live broadcast of the Kansas Lottery 300, the 200-lap NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Kansas Speedway oval in Kansas City, Kansas, is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. ET this Saturday, October 19.
