If standings were being kept for the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series using NASCAR’s scoring system, here is what they would look like.

The coronavirus pandemic led to an unexpected stoppage in action for the NASCAR Cup Series and for not only the rest of the motorsports world but the entire sports world.

When will real racing resume? TRACKER

Until real racing resumes, which it is currently scheduled to do on Saturday, May 9 at Martinsville Speedway, there is set to be an eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series race at the virtual version of each venue that had been slated to host a real-life Cup Series race.

The first off weekend, which was scheduled to be a race weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, did not make it into iRacing for this series. The series officially kicked off at virtual Homestead-Miami Speedway last Sunday, and it picked up at virtual Texas Motor Speedway this past Sunday.

A total of 41 drivers have competed in at least one of these two races. Of these 41 drivers, 29 have competed in both events while the other 12 have competed in only one.

Unlike in real life, points are not awarded for results in these races. But what if they were?

Let’s take a look at what the championship standings would look like through the virtual race at Texas Motor Speedway if NASCAR’s scoring system were being used for the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series.

NOTE: There are no stages or stage points in these iRacing events like there are in real life.
