NASCAR: 5 non-NASCAR tracks where eNASCAR iRacing should race
We have seen a rise in the popularity of virtual racing as of late, especially iRacing, and there are plenty of tracks available online. It could be extremely fun to watch the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series race on some non-NASCAR tracks. Here are five possibilities.
Virtual racing has become a very popular thing due to the lack of actual racing going on around the world right now.
NASCAR drivers have been partaking in the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series over the last few weeks, and this series has provided us with some pretty entertaining racing. So far, this series has only raced at the virtual editions of tracks which are on the real NASCAR schedule. But wouldn’t it be fun if the series included a few non-NASCAR tracks?
There are plenty of tracks on iRacing to choose from, and it would be a great idea to sprinkle in a few tracks at which NASCAR doesn’t race to act as “wild card” tracks. It would make for some great television.
Here are five tracks on iRacing at which the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series could compete.
5. Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is a track where I cannot picture a stock car race ever happening. But nothing says we can’t do it virtually. We have seen some very chaotic Formula 1 races at Spa over the years. If you take a virtual NASCAR series with a full field there, it would provide some quality television, especially if we can have some driver audio.
The first corner hairpin and the run down to Eau Rouge at full speed in a group of NASCAR stock cars would be very entertaining to watch in itself. But that entire 19-turn, 4.352-mile (7.004-kilometer) road course in Stavelot, Belgium is great. It reminds me a lot of Watkins Glen International, and we see Watkins Glen produce quality NASCAR races every year.
