Go Fas Racing are set to make a big announcement pertaining to their plans for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season later today.

Right now, the only thing known about Go Fas Racing’s plans for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season is that Corey LaJoie will not be back behind the wheel of the #32 Ford for what would have been a third consecutive season.

LaJoie made the decision back in August that he wanted to seek a better ride, as he finished in 29th place in the 2019 championship standings and currently sits in 30th with three races remaining on the 36-race 2020 schedule.

In addition to LaJoie, who has recently been linked to Spire Motorsports, having not yet confirmed his plans for 2021, Go Fas Racing have not confirmed who his replacement will be, if anyone.

More from NASCAR Cup Series

There have been rumors of the team, which currently have a technical alliance with the four-car Ford operation of Stewart-Haas Racing, potentially shutting down after the 2020 season.

There had been other rumors that Stewart-Haas Racing would utilize this alliance to promote Xfinity Series driver Chase Briscoe to the Cup Series behind the wheel of the #32 Ford, but they instead opted to promote the points leader directly to their Cup Series team as Clint Bowyer’s replacement behind the wheel of the #14 Ford.

Other rumors link Kaz Grala to the #32 Ford as LaJoie’s replacement. LaJoie himself stated last month that Grala, who made his Cup Series debut with an impressive seventh place finish at the Daytona International Speedway road course in relief of Austin Dillon after Dillon tested positive for COVID-19, was the frontrunner to land his seat.

We should know more later today, as the team are set to make an announcement pertaining to their 2021 plans.

The team’s Twitter account confirmed that this announcement is on its way and that team owner Archie St. Hilaire will be making the announcement at 5:30 p.m. on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Ch. 90).
