NASCAR: Final missing Daytona 500 driver confirmed
By Asher Fair
Timmy Hill is, in fact, set to compete for MBM Motorsports in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season-opening Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.
When the entry list for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season-opening Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway was released on Tuesday afternoon, only 43 drivers were listed for the 44 cars on the entry list, including the 36 chartered entries and the eight non-chartered entries.
Only seven of the eight non-chartered entries, which are slated to battle for the four remaining open positions in the 40-car starting lineup for this 200-lap race around the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) high-banked oval in Daytona Beach, Florida, had drivers listed.
The one that didn’t was the #66 Ford for MBM Motorsports.
It had been assumed for quite some time that Timmy Hill would drive this car.
